Proud day for Angela as Dad receives 70 yr certificate

When W Bro Angela found out that her father David was going to be presented with a 70 year certificate to mark his 70 years as a member of Haberdasher Aske Old Boys Lodge she naturally asked if she could be present during the presentation by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and was delighted to be told that she could. She was escorted into the temple at Great Queen Street by the lodge DC to the astonishment of her father who had not been told in advance of his surprise visitor and was reduced to tears when she addressed him as “my Father, my Brother”. Angela was even allowed to say a few words at the Festive Board which being a woman freemason came quite naturally to her.
