Holy Sepulchre celebrates another successful year.

On Wednesday 17th February , the Chapter of the Holy Sepulchre No. 6 held its Installation meeting at Rochford in Essex.  3rd Principal Ex.Companion Chrissy West-Webbe installed her successor Companion Christine Chesterman into the Chair of J and was then herself installed into the Chair of H by Ex. Companion Jane Walbancke the outgoing 2nd Principal. The outgoing 1st Principal Ex. Companion Carol Cole then installed her successor, Ex. Companion Jane Walbancke into the Chair of Z. This, the youngest Royal Arch Chapter in our Fraternity is now 7 years old and it was very encouraging to witness such high standards of ritual from all three installing Principals.The Royal Arch Degree is a very colourful ceremony based around the rebuilding of King Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem.

Gemma continues the family tradition

On Wednesday 10th February W Bro Gemma again assumed the mantle of leadership of Grace Bilantz Lodge No. 34,when she was beautifully Installed  into the Chair of King Solomon by IPM W Bro Marcia who despite a long period of illness this past year exceeded all expectations. W Bro Gemma continues the family tradition in this lodge, being the 3rd generation of Women Freemasons in her family to take the Chair of Grace Bilantz Lodge 34. This lodge meets at our London HQ at 402 Finchley Road, NW2.

Keystone Mark No. 1 Installation

On Monday 8th February 2016, at our London headquarters, another stone was placed in the Masonic superstructure when W Bro Pat installed Bro Lesley into the Chair of this our first Mark lodge. W Bro Pat having completed two years service for the lodge gave Lesley a ceremony to remember and Lesley responded by Investing her Officers with skill and assiduity. Their illustrious Preceptor, our Past Grand Master Bernice Abram was equally delighted with the high standard of the work and complimented everyone on a wonderful ceremony.

Monday 25th January saw the Installation meeting of Sesame 26 at Blackpool. Bro. Hazel Whattam was Installed as Worshipful Master by W. Bro. Anne Hughes. An excellent meeting enjoyed by everyone present.

HFAF University Scheme to expand

Following a successful meeting with UGLE Scheme President, Sir David Wootton; Chairman Edward Lord; Vice-Chairman Dan Large and Grand Secretary Nigel Brown we are pleased to announce that we shall in future be working in close co-operation with UGLE on the Universities Scheme. We hope this will prove mutually beneficial to both HFAF and UGLE.

Isle of Man reaffirms its support for Women's Freemasonry

On Monday 7th December, the Isle of Man brethren re-affirmed their support for Women’s Freemasonry on the island at the annual Installation meeting of the combined lodges of Grace Banks-Martin 14 and Mabel Garrett 20 when W. Bro. Caroline Ronan was installed as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. The brethren were delighted that the Grand Master, Christine Chapman was able to attend.

Our Northern Lodges are continuing to support the  Teddy Loving Care TLC initiative promoted by UGLE. Money is raised to provide Teddies to sick and distressed children in hospitals in the area. Our Provincial Grand Master Pat Rothwell (centre),  Past Provincial Grand Master Heather Hitchen (left) and Deputy Provincial Grand Master Brenda Cook (right) braved the wind and weather to meet one of the paramedics and his teddy friends.
