HFAF at Rickmansworth

HFAF Freemasonry for Women was present at the Middlesex Family Fun Day on 15th July and the Herts Family Fun Day on 22nd July both held  at the Royal Masonic Girls School in Rickmansworth. As well as raising the profile of Women’s Freemasonry we also raised funds by running very successful Tombola stalls.

Bourne Lodge at Zetland Court

Bourne Lodge at Zetland CourtOn 2nd June, a team from Bourne Lodge No. 35 attended the Zetland  Court Annual Fete to help raise funds for this beautiful care home which is run by the the UGLE’s RMBI.  Their efforts raised £120.

International Food Day at HQ

On Sunday 29th April a special fundraising event organised by the New Blue Association was held at our London headquarters. As our membership is very diverse we thought it only right to celebrate that diversity by offering a selection of home-cooked foods from our members.

Family Fun Day at Rickmansworth

On Saturday 22nd July Herts and Middx Provinces of UGLE joined together to stage a Family Fun Day in the grounds of the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth. Despite the atrocious weather there was a good turnout and the event was well supported. We provided our usual Tombola Stall and well done to the HFAF Team who battled on despite several drenchings.

Chestnut Tree Hospice presentation

On Wednesday 19th July the Grand Master was delighted to present a cheque for £7982 to Chestnut Tree Hospice on behalf of HFAF Freemasonry for Women for the purchase of a specialist cot bed. This wonderful Charity supports children with life-limiting conditions and provides this support to their families both at the Hospice and also in the community.

Sun still shining on Calahonda 53

Monday 12th June, another sunny day here on the Costa del Sol for the Installation meeting of Calahonda Lodge 53. W. Bro. Jan Owens was Installed for a 3rd year into the Chair. W. Bro. Jan has presided over two incredible years for the lodge during which time they have had many new candidates and have raised much needed funds for DEBRA the charity for Butterfly Children.

The Grand Master had a meeting with the Provincial Grand Master of Andalucia  Giles Crawford to discuss Calahonda Lodge being invited to their Annual Assembly to make a joint presentation to DEBRA.

Mason is very well behaved!

HFAF Winter Fayre and Open Day

 

On Sunday 20th November from 12pm to 3pm we once again opened our doors at 402 Finchley Road, London NW2 2HR not only to promote our Fraternity but also to provide an enjoyable day out for members and visitors. Lots of lovely goods were on sale and there was the customary Fortitude cafe providing hot drinks and bagels.

There’s no doubting what the star attraction was this year. It’s this handsome chap who has been named Mason,what else? Our members have raised funds to pay for his training as a Medical Detection Dog. He has grown somewhat since the first picture was taken but a team from the Charity were there on Sunday with Mason and we were delighted to present a cheque to the Charity.

RIckmansworth Fun Days for HFAF

On two Sundays in July, the Royal Masonic Girls School hosted two Provincial Fun Days, one for Middx and one for Herts. HFAF was pleased to have been invited to have a presence at both events.

Lot of enquiries were received and on both occasions our Tombola was sold out.

Calahonda 53 supporting DEBRA in Spain

The charity DEBRA works to provide care for children afflicted by an incurable condition known as  Butterfly Children.This extremely painful condition necessitates 24/7 care , not least in the daily task of bandaging the children.

In Spain there is virtually no state assistance and sufferers and their parents are dependent on the nurses provided by this charity who provide care and guidance.

Calahonda Lodge No. 53 under the leadership of WM Jan Owens have raised over 2200 euros so far and will continue to support them throughout the coming year. They were delighted to make a presentation to the Charity this summer
