Bharati 56 expands eastwards

29th November saw Bharati Lodge 56 travel to Kuala Lumpur to Initiate and Pass 11 candidates who will one day form the nucleus of a new overseas lodge for HFAF to be based in Kuala Lumpur. The team for this groundbreaking meeting was led by the lodge’s first Master, W Bro Sadhana Rao

Rose Croix goes ahead

Rose Croix admits two new Princes
Two new Princes were admitted into the Rose of Sharon RC Chapter at the end of October. Rose of Sharon overcame many difficulties including the absence of several officers due to illness to hold a very successful meeting. Rose of Sharon meets twice a year at Twickenham Masonic Centre.

Blackpool move

Lodges which formerly met at Rangemoor, Lytham Road have now moved to the Masonic Hall in Adelaide Street, Blackpool.

Unity 58 continuing to grow

On Sunday 4th February Unity Lodge No. 58 meeting at The Cloisters in Letchworth welcomed three new members – Mariana, Ebru and Ainka. The Past Grand Master Christine Chapman took the Chair for this meeting.

Brazil comes to Sussex

Five more members for Brazil

Sussex Lodge 17 was delighted to facilitate the admission of five more members for Brazil at a meeting of Sussex Lodge 17 in Freemasons’ Hall, Lewes. It was a joint effort involving members and visitors who also Passed the five Brazilian Initiates on the same day.

HFAF Freemasonry for Women was pleased to sign the Armed Forces Covenant at Harrow & District Masonic Centre on 23rd November. The signatories were Most Worshipful Bro Christine Chapman, Grand Master and Lt. Col Heather Saunders representing the Ministry of Defence.

Visiting the Province

Our annual trip to the North-West

The MW Grand Master and Grand Lodge Officers were pleased to visit our Provincial brethren in the North in October. For those that arrived on the Monday the Provincial Executive hosted a welcome meal at a nearby restaurant. Tuesday we attended a meeting of St Annes 32 for a Passing ceremony and a buffet Festive Board at a nearby hotel. A social evening on the Wednesday saw us at the St Annes Palace, a local masonic hall which was converted from a former cinema. We rounded off the visit on Thursday with a meeting of the Royal Ark Mariners Lodge moored to Cornerstone Mark Lodge 3, which was held at the Rangemoor Temple and followed by a colorful in-house Festive Board.

WM Yvonne was Installed into the Chair for another year’s work. Yvonne flies out to the Costa Blanca lodge for every meeting. A truly dedicated freemason. On this occasion the Assistant Grand Master Maxine Sherman led a delegation from the UK to visit the lodge.

Bro Sadhana and Bro Smitha Rao were Advanced into White Stone of Essex Mark Lodge No 5 at Rochford, Essex in July. They are both members of Bharati Lodge No. 56 in Delhi.
