Rita achieves her goal

On 24th May, Colchester Lodge  No. 31 held its annual Installation meeting. RW Bro. Margaret Clarke, PDGM was the Installing Master on this occasion having just completed a two year stint in the chair of this lodge and it was a great pleasure to watch her install her successor Bro Rita Sutton into the Chair in her own inimitable style. Everyone was delighted that Rita who has been a keen supporter of our travelling Ambassadors Lodge No. 13 and even travelled out to India to help with the consecration of Lodge Bharati No. 56 had finally achieved this milestone in her masonic

Proud day for Angela as Dad receives 70 yr certificate

When W Bro Angela found out that her father David was going to be presented with a 70 year certificate to mark his 70 years as a member of Haberdasher Aske Old Boys Lodge she naturally asked if she could be present during the presentation by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and was delighted to be told that she could. She was escorted into the temple at Great Queen Street by the lodge DC to the astonishment of her father who had not been told in advance of his surprise visitor and was reduced to tears when she addressed him as “my Father, my Brother”. Angela was even allowed to say a few words at the Festive Board which being a woman freemason came quite naturally to her.

D-159,FF Surajmal Vihar, New Delhi.110092.

They held their Installation meeting on Sunday 21st January 2018 at the new venue when W Bro Sadhana Rao was proclaimed as WM for a second year. It is hoped that progression of Officers will begin in earnest in January 2019 .

A year in the life of Lodge Bharati 56

Lodge Bharati 56 celebrated its 1st Birthday with a lodge meeting followed by a Gala Evening with friends and family at Zest in Delhi. When this lodge was consecrated it was envisaged that they would initially hold four meetings a year. However we seriously underestimated the determination of W. Sadhana Rao and her Officers  They started life with 21 members and during the past year have Initiated another 10 Members.   There is a strong desire amongst the women of India to participate in Freemasonry and we have a feeling that it won’t be long before we are asked to consecrate a second HFAF Lodge in India.

It should also also be mentioned that in the summer our indomitable Indian  Brethren also celebrated their half year meeting with a party. They took the lodge to Behror in Rajasthan for a special meeting to admit a candidate from this area
