Everyone should join!

It was amazing, everyone should join!” Those were the words of Lisa, a new Companion who along with Barbara travelled from Calahonda Lodge 53 in Spain to be Exalted into Royal Arch Freemasonry in Chapter of the Holy Sepulchre No. 6 at Rochford, Essex. The three Principals, Z, H and J and the Principal Sojourner delivered a beautiful ceremony to ensure that these two candidates had a day to remember. This was the first ceremony for MEZ Sue, H Elaine and J Angie since the Installation in November last year. Not even the presence of the 1st Grand Principal and the 3rd Grand Principal put them off. Anyone familiar with Royal Arch knows the important part played by the Principal Sojourner and Iskra certainly rose to the occasion. Proud Preceptor Jenny, (standing on the right) was delighted with the Officers. Director of Ceremonies Chrissy (Standing on the left) kept everything moving smoothly.

Northern Progress

October 8th – 12th saw us travelling North for our annual visit to our Provincial Lodges. The trip encompassed a Craft Meeting, followed by a Royal Arch Installation and finished with the customary Royal Ark Mariners Installation meeting. The week was tinged with sadness as the late Provincial Grand Master Brenda Cook was remembered at every meeting with much love and affection.

Holy Sepulchre celebrates another successful year.

On Wednesday 17th February , the Chapter of the Holy Sepulchre No. 6 held its Installation meeting at Rochford in Essex.  3rd Principal Ex.Companion Chrissy West-Webbe installed her successor Companion Christine Chesterman into the Chair of J and was then herself installed into the Chair of H by Ex. Companion Jane Walbancke the outgoing 2nd Principal. The outgoing 1st Principal Ex. Companion Carol Cole then installed her successor, Ex. Companion Jane Walbancke into the Chair of Z. This, the youngest Royal Arch Chapter in our Fraternity is now 7 years old and it was very encouraging to witness such high standards of ritual from all three installing Principals. The Royal Arch Degree is a very colourful ceremony based around the rebuilding of King Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem.
